Surpless, Dunn & Co., Inc. is a 5th generation, family-owned and operated Manufacturer's Representative firm. 
We have been proudly serving our Manufacturers and Distributors since 1889 by selling only through recognized distribution. Throughout our company history, we have never taken direct end-user business and never will. While the term "integrated supply" is a fairly new concept in industrial distribution, we have been providing distributors with a multiple line of products and our expertise for over 110 years. To address the demands of an ever-changing market, we have strategically poised our company to help our principals meet their sales and marketing goals. Today, our company is comprised of three business units that are headed by Managers with extensive industry experience. Our three business units are Metrology Products, Industrial Products, and OEM & National Accounts.

We operate the majority of our business in the following states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.  In this territory, we employ Regional Managers to develop business with distributors and support our product lines. We also have Technical Products Managers and Market Specialists on our staff to address specific product applications on behalf of our customers. These Product and Regional Managers are factory trained to serve our distributors and their end-users. Our success as a Manufacturer's Representative firm is attributed to our customer focus and the technical support (sales calls, presentations, product demonstrations, training, etc.) we provide for our products before and after the sale. How we differ from typical representatives is in our approach to provide solutions. We have the knowledge and skills to address the unusual applications, and we care about helping distributors succeed.

We are committed to offering the finest products with the most complete service to our Customers - recognized distributors. Our knowledgeable Inside Sales Staff is ready to serve by recommending solutions, verifying stock, quoting, entering orders, and expediting. Surpless, Dunn & Co., Inc. is headquartered in a 25,000 square foot warehouse facility located in Chicago, IL, and we maintain inventory for most of the lines we represent. Orders placed for stocked inventory by 3:00 pm (Central Time) ship the same day. Understanding the value of our distributors' customers to their business, we remain invisible in our role by referencing only their company and customer names on any paper work enclosed in direct shipments.

Our typical distributors are involved in the sale of Construction Supplies, Electrical Supplies, Hardware Supplies, Industrial Supplies, Precision Measuring & Inspection Tools and Equipment, Welding Supplies, Safety Products and Farm Supplies.  Our customers include Construction Equipment Distributors, Cutting Tool Distributors, Work Holding/Fixturing Distributors, Industrial Distributors, Machine Tool Distributors, Welding Supply Distributors, Electrical Supply Distributors, Hardware Co-ops, Precision Measuring Equipment Distributors, Gage Calibration Services, Farm Supply Distributors and Safety Product Distributors.
